1. Controller

SkillSight Athletics, LLC is the data controller for the personal data collected through SkillSight. If you have questions, contact us through the Profile page or at your registered support email.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: email, name, and password hash (handled by our authentication provider).
• Profile data: sports you train, plan tier, and billing period.
• Film and inputs: video clips you upload, plus any captions or context you provide.
• Usage data: analysis history, training completions, and app interactions.
• Device data: IP address, device type, and browser information for security and analytics.

3. Why we collect it

• To provide the SkillSight service (account, film analysis, drills, insights).
• To secure your account and prevent fraud.
• To improve product features and customer support.
• To communicate service updates or marketing, where you have consented.

4. Legal basis

We process data to perform our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and where you have given consent.

5. Sharing

We share data only with:

• Service providers: cloud hosting, authentication, and analytics partners.
• Merchant of Record (Paddle): for sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
• Professional advisers or authorities: where required by law.

6. Where film is stored and how long we keep it

• Your film stays on your device. Clips you upload or record are stored locally on the device you used and are never uploaded to a SkillSight server.
• Analysis frames: when you run an analysis, a small number of still frames from the clip are sent to our AI model provider solely to produce your feedback. They are not used to train models and are not retained after the analysis completes.
• Film and analyses: kept until you delete them. You can erase all film, analyses and accuracy ratings at any time from Profile → “Your film & data” → “Delete all my film”, without deleting your account. Deleting individual clips is available in your film library.
• Accuracy ratings (“Was this accurate?”): kept while your account is active, or until you delete your film.
• Analysis counts: retained for up to 12 months to enforce plan allowances and prevent abuse. These records contain counts and timestamps only — no film, frames or analysis text.
• Account, profile and subscription records: kept while your account is active, and afterwards only where required for tax, accounting or legal obligations.
• Account deletion: available at any time from the Profile page. It erases your profile, subscription record, analysis ratings and all film on your device.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. To exercise your rights, contact us through the Profile page.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and other technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the app is used. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser.

10. International transfers

Data may be transferred to countries outside your jurisdiction. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.

11. Young athletes and guardian consent

SkillSight is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Athletes aged 13 to 17 may only create an account with a parent or guardian's permission; at sign-up we record the athlete's date of birth along with the guardian's name, email, and the date permission was given. A parent or guardian may review, correct, or request deletion of a young athlete's film, analyses, and profile at any time by contacting us through the Support page, and we will delete the account and its film on request.

12. App Store privacy disclosures

This is the same information we declare in our App Store privacy label, stated plainly:

• Data linked to you: contact info (email), user content (film you add, captions, notes and accuracy ratings), identifiers (account ID), purchases (subscription status), and usage data (analyses run, drills completed).
• Data not linked to you: diagnostics used to fix crashes and errors.
• Data not collected: precise location, contacts, health and fitness records from Apple Health, browsing history, and search history.
• Tracking: we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not sell or share your data for advertising.
• Purpose: all of the above is used to run app functionality — your analyses, plan and training — plus product improvement and support. It is not used for third-party advertising or for training AI models.
