Demonstration video coming soon
Instructions
- 1Start on both knees with the glove filling the gap between the legs.
- 2On a tossed short hop, drop the chin and round the shoulders over the ball.
- 3For balls to the side, replace the near knee toward the ball so the chest angles back toward the plate.
- 4Finish each block by locating the ball and recovering to the feet.
What to focus on
Chest angled back toward the plate so the ball dies in front.
Common mistake
Blocking with a flat chest or reaching with the glove, sending the ball to the backstop.
