Instructions
- 1Start in an outfield ready position with your weight forward.
- 2On a partner's point or fly ball, drop-step to that side and turn the hips immediately.
- 3Run on the balls of your feet with the glove down until the last stride.
- 4Catch above the throwing shoulder with the feet moving through it.
What to focus on
First step opening the hips toward the ball's path.
Common mistake
Drifting sideways or a false step back before breaking.
