Instructions
- 1Have a partner attack armbar, triangle, and kimura in random order at moderate speed.
- 2Identify the attack in the first second by hand and hip position.
- 3Apply the correct defensive frame or grip immediately (posture, stack, or hitchhike).
- 4Escape to a neutral or top position rather than only surviving the attack.
What to focus on
Identifying the submission early enough to defend proactively, not reactively.
Common mistake
Waiting until the submission is nearly locked before starting to defend.
