Instructions
- 1Sprint toward the crease and ground the bat early with an extended reach.
- 2Turn using the foot nearest the direction of the next run, staying low.
- 3Push off immediately without standing upright to check the field.
- 4Practice both left- and right-hand leading turns for either end.

Early bat grounding and a low, fast turn.
Common mistake
Standing tall to look around before turning, losing momentum.
