Instructions

1. 1Draw a line in the sand two inches behind the ball.
2. 2Open the clubface and swing to enter the sand on the line, splashing through to the target.
3. 3Keep the swing length matched to the entry point, not steering with the hands.
4. 4Check that every ball comes out on a shallow cushion of sand, not a thin skull.

What to focus on

Consistent entry point and full finish through the sand.

Common mistake

Deceleration or a steep dig that leaves the ball in the bunker.
