Control low point so divots start after the ball and point at the target

Instructions
- 1Draw a chalk or spray-paint line on the turf perpendicular to your target line.
- 2Hit shots trying to take the divot just in front of the line, never behind it.
- 3Check that the divot points at or slightly left of target, not out to the right.
- 4Track how many of ten shots produce a divot after the ball on-line.
What to focus on
Low point moving forward of the ball at impact.
Common mistake
Low point behind the ball, causing fat or thin strikes.
