Instructions

1. 1Set a gate at the putter head and a second gate a foot in front of the ball.
2. 2Stroke putts so the face exits square through the front gate regardless of path shape.
3. 3Check ball starts on the intended line even when the stroke arcs slightly.
4. 4Track makes from 8 feet before moving to 10 feet.

What to focus on

Face angle at impact as the primary driver of start line.

Common mistake

Manipulating the path to compensate for an open or closed face.
