Instructions
- 1Set a gate at the putter head and a second gate a foot in front of the ball.
- 2Stroke putts so the face exits square through the front gate regardless of path shape.
- 3Check ball starts on the intended line even when the stroke arcs slightly.
- 4Track makes from 8 feet before moving to 10 feet.

Face angle at impact as the primary driver of start line.
Common mistake
Manipulating the path to compensate for an open or closed face.
