Control where the club bottoms out to avoid fat or thin chips

Instructions

  1. 1Lay a towel just behind the ball as a no-go zone for the club.
  2. 2Chip with a stable lower body, letting the arms and shoulders control the low point.
  3. 3Land three consecutive chips without brushing the towel.
  4. 4Vary the landing spot while keeping the same low-point control.

What to focus on

A stable radius that bottoms out just ahead of the ball every time.

Common mistake

Handle/torso mismatch causing the low point to shift rep to rep.
