Instructions
- 1Set up with feet together, then step the lead foot toward the target as you start the downswing.
- 2Let the step trigger the hips to clear before the arms and club release.
- 3Hit the ball just as the stepping foot plants.
- 4Repeat without the step once the sequence feels automatic.
What to focus on
Lower body starting the downswing ahead of the arms.
Common mistake
Stalled rotation, letting the arms and club fire first from the top.
