Instructions
- 1Start in a defensive stance facing an attacker skating up the wing.
- 2Take an angle that closes the middle of the ice, not a straight-line chase.
- 3Force the attacker toward the boards while staying on your feet, not diving.
- 4Finish the angle by separating the attacker from the puck with body position.
What to focus on
Angle that closes the middle lane before contact with the boards.
Common mistake
Skating straight at the puck carrier and getting beat wide.
