Instructions
- 1Carry the puck through the neutral zone with a winger breaking wide.
- 2Read the winger's speed and lead the pass into open ice ahead of them.
- 3Release the pass before the winger looks back for it.
- 4Vary the winger's speed each rep to force different lead distances.
What to focus on
Passing to where the teammate will be, not where they currently are.
Common mistake
Passing directly to the current stick position, forcing the winger to slow down.
