Instructions
- 1Meet the attacker below the goal line with an active stick, feet moving.
- 2Contain rather than commit fully, keeping your stick on the puck side.
- 3Force the attacker into a low-percentage area or turnover along the boards.
- 4Support with a second defender rotating if the puck squirts loose.
What to focus on
Active stick and containment without over-committing to a big hit.
Common mistake
Lunging for a hit and getting beat, opening the front of the net.
