Instructions

1. 1Start a race for a loose puck in the corner with a partner.
2. 2Get your stick on the puck first and establish inside leverage with your hips.
3. 3Protect the puck with your back and free arm against pressure.
4. 4Identify and use the open escape lane rather than forcing through your opponent.

What to focus on

Inside leverage established before the opponent arrives.

Common mistake

Arriving upright and getting knocked off the puck before gaining leverage.
