Instructions
- 1Set up with the puck slightly ahead of the front foot and stick loaded.
- 2Bring the stick back to shoulder height in a controlled backswing.
- 3Strike the ice just behind the puck to load the shaft, then drive through.
- 4Follow through low and toward your intended corner.
What to focus on
Consistent contact point just behind the puck to load the flex.
Common mistake
Hitting the puck first with no shaft flex, producing a weak, inaccurate shot.
