Instructions
- 1Set up a full faceoff with wing players in legal starting position.
- 2Have wings read the direction of the exit and release the instant the ball is loose.
- 3Sprint to box out the opposing wing before scooping.
- 4Clear the ball to a designated outlet once possession is secured.
What to focus on
Wings reading and releasing the moment the ball is live, not before.
Common mistake
Wings releasing too early (offside) or too late to help win the scrum.
