Instructions
- 1Approach the crease with a defender or goalie reacting live.
- 2Load a full shooting motion, snapping the head and shoulders as if releasing.
- 3Hold the ball a beat longer, reading the goalie's weight shift.
- 4Finish to the open side once the goalie has committed.
What to focus on
Committing the shoulders and eyes fully to the fake, not just the stick.
Common mistake
Faking with the stick only while the shoulders and eyes give away the real shot.
