Instructions
- 1During a long run, periodically shake out the hands and drop the shoulders away from the ears.
- 2Check for a loose, open hand rather than a tightly clenched fist.
- 3Note any tension creeping into the neck or jaw and consciously release it.

Loose shoulders, hands, and jaw maintained deep into the run.
Common mistake
Clenched fists and hunched shoulders that waste energy over distance.
