Instructions

1. 1Chalk a straight line from the pitching rubber to the plate.
2. 2Push off the rubber and land with the stride foot on or near the line.
3. 3Pitch live once three straight-line landings occur in a row.
4. 4Flag any rep that lands closed across the line or open away from it.

What to focus on

A direct, powerful drive down the line instead of drifting sideways.

Common mistake

Flying open or drifting across the body during the drive.
