- 1Pitch through release and continue into a full follow-through.
- 2Land in an athletic fielding position facing the plate within one step.
- 3Have a coach roll a ball immediately after the finish to react to.
- 4Reset any rep where the pitcher stands tall or turns sideways at the finish.
What to focus on
Recovering into a ready defensive posture immediately after release.
Common mistake
Standing upright or drifting off balance instead of squaring to the plate.
