Builds toward improve pitch recognition and reduce chasing pitches out of the zone.
Instructions
- 1Have a coach mix location and speed from behind an L-screen or with a machine.
- 2Call the pitch as a ball or strike out loud before deciding to swing.
- 3Only swing on pitches identified as strikes within the first half of flight.
- 4Track how many chases occur on pitches just off the plate.
