Instructions
- 1Square around early with the bat angled to direct the ball toward first or third.
- 2Catch the ball on the bat with soft hands instead of jabbing at it.
- 3Alternate targets between the first and third base lines each set.
- 4Track how many balls stay fair and off the pitcher's line.
What to focus on
Absorbing the ball with soft hands and a controlled bat angle.
Common mistake
Jabbing at the ball and popping it up in the air.
