Instructions
- 1Approach on a slight angle toward the sideline you are hitting from.
- 2Contact the outside third of the ball with the hand rotated toward the cross-court target.
- 3Snap the wrist down and across the body to steepen the angle.
- 4Track landing spots and adjust approach angle if shots are going straight down the line.
What to focus on
Contact point on the outside third of the ball, wrist snapping across.
Common mistake
Squaring the shoulders to the net and pushing the ball straight ahead instead of angling it.
