Tee-Shot Chin-Space Posture Check
Chin-down head position at setup
8 min
8 rehearsals, then 2 sets of 5 tee shots.
Beginner
Why this drill
Free the neck and upper back at address so a full-speed tee shot is not restricted before it starts.
Setup
Address a teed ball with the camera face-on. Note the space between chin and chest.
How to perform it
- 1Lift the chin to roughly a fist of space while keeping the forward tilt from the hips.
- 2Rehearse the turn to the top and confirm the lead shoulder passes under the chin.
- 3Then hit tee shots holding that posture.
Key feel
Long neck, room in the chest, eyes still on the ball.
Success cue
Head height stays stable and the shoulder turn looks fuller without extra effort.
Recommended reps
8 rehearsals, then 2 sets of 5 tee shots.
Progression
Rebuild the posture unaided and confirm on film.
Common mistake
Standing up out of posture or arching the lower back instead of only freeing the neck.
